Spicy Cheddar Cheese Balls

1 stick (1/4 lb.) butter, room temperature
1/4 lb. extra sharp cheddar cheese, grated, room
            temperature
  1 tsp Tabasco sauce
  1 cup flour
  1 cup Rice Krispies

Preheat oven to 350F.

Blend the butter and cheese.

Blend in the Tabasco Sauce.

Add the flour and Rice Krispies, working by hand if necessary
to blend.

Form into ½-1” balls, a melon scoop is helpful, but I still roll by
hand.

Place on a cookie sheet and bake 20-30 minutes, until golden on
bottom.

Cool and refrigerate.

The dough may be made ahead and refrigerated, but allow time
to warm before baking, to ensure the cheese balls are cooked
through.

This recipe may easily be doubled.

These keep well in the refrigerator. Makes 3-5 dozen.
